Black Cherry-Vanilla Martini

Today is my Birthday.

I don’t like to celebrate birthdays, or most holidays, or basically anything that panders to corporate money grabbing schemes (don’t talk to me around Christmas!).

So in general, my husband and I don’t do cards and other birthday-ey stuff.

That said, I was craving black forest cake. And while I still plan on making my own cake tomorrow (I’m going to test out this recipe) I needed some satisfaction tonight.

So I turned to the blender…

The results speak for themselves.

Ingredients:

  • One 10 oz. bag of frozen black cherries
  • 3 Tbsp Coconut cream
  • 1 can of coconut water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp raw honey
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste (or 2 tsp vanilla extract)

Optional:

And of course, 4-6 oz. good quality Vodka.

Toss everything in a blender and blend well.

Enjoy!

Happy birthday, Chelz! This sounds scrumptious…but, I’m thinking a jigger of vodka to celebrate in your martini would be a party!
