When the sun starts shining and the temperature starts rising, after a hard days work in the garden sometimes you need something a little more refreshing than your standard spritzer. Enter my Watermelon-Mint Kombucha Cocktail.
Take fresh juiced watermelon, add mint, kombucha and of course a little vodka and you have one seriously yummy drink to quench your sun parched soul.
So here’s how to make your own:
What you’ll need:
1 half watermelon, sliced into chunks that will fit into a juicer
3 sprigs mint
1-2 teaspoons raw agave syrup
Good quality vodka
Unflavored kombucha (preferably Magic brand)
Directions:
Step 1: Juice the watermelon and 2 sprigs of mint (a masticating juicer works best)
Step 2: Mix two parts juice to one part vodka and 1-2 teaspoons agave syrup (sweeten to preference)
Step 3: Pour watermelon mixture over a glass with crushed ice to about 1/2 – 1/3 full
Step 4: Top with kombucha and mix gently with a spoon or straw
Step 5: Enjoy sitting garden side and say Aaahhhhhh
